Youth

Sunday School

We encourage youth to attend Sunday School from age 3 until high school. Following the 9:00 service on Sunday, children gather in the basement for a snack and some weeks have an opening/music time together before moving to separate classes. No matter what the age group, each class is solidly based on the Bible and fosters a stronger faith. If you have any questions about Sunday School, please contact Joanne Petersen.

Youth Services

We have youth services during our 9:00 worship most second Sundays of the month. Young people assist in these services by greeting, acolyting, performing special music, ushering, and reading Bible passages.

Confirmation Class

7th and 8th grade students meet regularly to delve deeper into God's Word and to learn about how it forms the basis for the Lutheran faith. Pastor Hillenbrand leads the students in studying Martin Luther's Small Catechism and discussing the biblical perspective on some of the issues we encounter in our daily lives. Typically, once students complete the two-year class, they are confirmed in their faith at a special worship service and begin receiving Holy Communion.

Beautiful Savior Service Club

Children two years old through 8th grade and their families are encouraged to be part of the Beautiful Savior Service Club. The goals of the club are to help create servant hearts in our children at a young age and to contribute in a meaningful way to the church and local communities. A monthly service project will take place from September through May. Please watch your email for event details if you have a child within this age range.

Comfort Club

Comfort Club is an extension of “Inspiring Comfort” which is a social good company that teaches care and connection through the skill of comfort. Their mission is to create a culture of comfort in a socially disconnected and hurting society. Every other year, 7th and 8th grade students participate in Comfort Club sessions which have the goal of fostering empathy and developing character.
